Death Investigation in Exeter, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, Exeter Police Chief William Shupe, and Director J. William Degnan of the State Fire Marshal's Office announce that there is an active death investigation ongoing in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Early this morning, authorities responded to a fire at the Hayes Mobile Home Park in Exeter. An adult female was discovered deceased in a residence in the park. The identity of the deceased female is expected to be released following an autopsy, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit, the Exeter Police Department, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the female’s death.
