Body and Vehicle Located and Attempt to Locate a Wanted Person

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner, Chichester Police Chief Patrick Clarke, and Canterbury Police Chief Michel Labrecque announce that the body of a deceased adult female was located in Canterbury early this afternoon. Authorities believe that the body may be that of Frances E. Nash (age 51), who was reported missing this past weekend from Chichester, New Hampshire. Ms. Nash’s vehicle was previously reported missing and was located earlier this morning in Canterbury.

The area where the body was located will be searched and an autopsy done to determine the exact identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death.

Law enforcement authorities are seeking the public's assistance in locating Frances E. Nash’s son, Phillip Nash (age 21), last known of Canterbury, New Hampshire. An arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Nash in connection with the theft of Ms. Nash's vehicle. He is described as five feet nine inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Phillip Nash is also believed to be driving a stolen maroon, 2000 Ford F-350 truck, with NH vanity plate GRANITE. A recent photograph of Mr. Nash is attached to this press release.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information about Ms. Nash, Mr. Nash or the involved vehicles is asked to contact the New Hampshire State Police at (603) 271-3636.
