Jon Orme Sentenced to 8½-20 Years in the New Hampshire State Prison for Possession of Carfentanil with the Intent to Sell

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that Jon Orme, age 30, was sentenced today in the Hillsborough County Superior Court, Northern District, to 8½ - 20 years in the New Hampshire State Prison – stand committed - for possessing carfentanil with the intent to sell. Mr. Orme was convicted following a jury trial before the Hillsborough County Superior Court in March of 2018. Carfentanil is analog of fentanyl which is 100 times more powerful than fentanyl.

On May 4, 2017, members of the Manchester Police Department executed a search warrant at Mr. Orme's apartment based on information that Mr. Orme was selling carfentanil. Officers found over five grams of carfentanil in multiple packaging along with evidence of drug distribution in an area of the apartment where Mr. Orme kept his belongings. Officers also seized over $11,000 in cash from the apartment and Mr. Orme's person.
