Autopsy Results for Shooting Death in Goffstown, New Hampshire

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Goffstown Police Chief Robert Browne announce that additional information is available regarding the shooting incident that occurred yesterday in Goffstown, New Hampshire.

Yesterday at approximately 4:20 p.m., Goffstown Police responded to a reported shooting in the parking lot at 5 Depot Street in Goffstown. Once there, they found Ian Jewell (age 18), of Manchester, New Hampshire, with a gunshot wound. Mr. Jewell was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

New Hampshire's Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval completed an autopsy on Mr. Jewell today and determined that his cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the chest and the manner of death is homicide.
