Indictment of Richard Tripaldi for the Murder of James Brock

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner and Franklin Police Chief David B. Goldstein announce the indictment of Richard Tripaldi, formerly of Franklin, New Hampshire, for first-degree murder, reckless second-degree murder and theft by unauthorized taking in connection with the death of James Brock in Franklin on June 21, 2017.

Mr. Tripaldi was arrested in Manchester, New Hampshire, on August 2, 2017. He has been indicted for first-degree murder for purposely causing the death of James Brock by shooting him once in the head. An additional alternative count of second-degree murder alleges that Mr. Tripaldi recklessly caused Brock's death under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by shooting him. Mr. Tripaldi has also been charged with theft by unauthorized taking for exercising unauthorized control over a 2007 Chevrolet Impala belonging to James Brock. Mr. Tripaldi continues to be held without bail.

The charges and allegations set forth in the indictments are merely accusations and Mr. Tripaldi is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
