Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces that he will conduct a press briefing on August 23, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Memorial School gymnasium, 31 West Main Street, Newton, New Hampshire.

The purpose of the briefing is to announce the findings regarding the incident that led to Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Caranfa, Trooper Robert Holland, Trooper George Katsarakes and Trooper Daniel Purtell shooting Michael R. Brown on June 15, 2017 in Newton. In addition, the Attorney General will detail portions of the video and audio recordings that capture the incident. The Massachusetts State Police helicopter was equipped with video and audio equipment that captured portions of the pursuit which led up to the shooting incident.
