Autopsy Results from the Death Investigation in Haverhill, New Hampshire

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner announce that there is additional information available regarding the ongoing death investigation in Haverhill, New Hampshire.

This morning, New Hampshire's Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Andrew conducted autopsies on the bodies of Crystal Lewis (age 44) and Robert Taylor (age 45). Ms. Lewis and Mr. Taylor were found deceased inside of Ms. Lewis's residence located at 154 Pine Park Road in Haverhill yesterday morning. Dr. Andrew determined that Ms. Lewis died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head and that the manner of her death was homicide. Dr. Andrew also determined that Mr. Taylor died as a result of a single gunshot wound to his head and that the manner of his death was suicide.

The investigation thus far has revealed that Ms. Lewis and Mr. Taylor were in a dating relationship for several years but that Ms. Lewis terminated the relationship sometime in July of this year. Based upon the autopsy findings and other information learned during the investigation, Mr. Taylor appears to have shot and killed Ms. Lewis before killing himself inside of the residence.
