Keene Officer Involved Shooting - Update

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner announce that an investigation remains ongoing into an officer-involved shooting incident that occurred in Keene, New Hampshire.

Initial reports are that at approximately 2:04 p.m., Keene police officers responded to a residence in Keene to assist a party who was leaving a home located at 40 Wilford Street. Afterwards, there was confrontation between an adult male who was present and several Keene police officers. During that confrontation, two police officers discharged their weapons and wounded the adult male. He was taken to a hospital and is being treated for his injuries. The shots were fired at approximately 2:58 p.m.

No law enforcement officers or private citizens were physically injured during the incident.

The circumstances that led to the incident are under investigation.
