Sentencing of Joel Martin for the Murder of Darrell Robinson and other Crimes

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that Joel Martin was sentenced this afternoon in Hillsborough County Superior Court in connection with his convictions for the murder of Darrell Robinson and his assaults of 2 other men. All of the victims were stabbed by the defendant. The murder and assaults occurred on May 9, 2015 at the formerly named Drynk nightclub on Old Granite Street.

On the murder conviction, the defendant was sentenced to State Prison for 40 years to life plus restitution. He was sentenced to a consecutive prison term of 10 to 30 years plus restitution on 1 of his 2 convictions for second-degree assault. He was sentenced to a concurrent prison sentence of 10 to 30 years on the 2nd conviction for second-degree assault. Lastly, he was sentenced to a concurrent prison sentence of 
5 to 10 years on his conviction for being a felon in possession of a weapon.
