Barry Jones's Autopsy Results - Officer-Involved Shooting in Hampton

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner announce additional information related to the incident which occurred at the New Hampshire State Liquor Store, South-Bound, in Hampton yesterday afternoon.

Earlier today, Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie V. Duval conducted an autopsy on Barry Jones (age 36).  Dr. Duval determined that the cause of Mr. Jones’s death was multiple gunshot wounds.  Specifically, Mr. Jones suffered three gunshot wounds, two to his torso and one to his left shoulder.  The manner of his death was ruled a homicide.  As used by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, homicide is defined as the killing of one person by another.

As previously noted, the exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain actively under investigation.  Additional information will be provided once the officer(s) has been formally interviewed.
