Homicide Investigation in Manchester

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that an investigation is ongoing into a homicide in Manchester, NH.

On Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Manchester police officers responded to the intersection of Merrimack Street and Beech Street for a report of shots fired. There, they located an injured male, later identified as Jonathan Vazquez-Ojeda (age 25), suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Mr.Vazquez-Ojeda was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

An autopsy is being conducted on Mr. Vazquez-Ojeda today, to determine the exact cause and manner of his death.

The investigation into the shooting incident is active and ongoing.
