Suspicious Death Investigation in Dunbarton, New Hampshire
New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, State Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Dunbarton Police Chief Daniel G. Sklut, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a suspicious death in Dunbarton, New Hampshire.
Yesterday morning, the Dunbarton Police Department responded to a single-family home in Dunbarton. During that response, an adult female was discovered deceased in the home. That person has been identified as Wendy Tefft (age 38), of Dunbarton.
The State's Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Thomas A. Andrew, performed an autopsy on Mrs. Tefft today. He determined that her cause of death was a single gunshot wound. The determination as to the manner of her death is pending further investigation.
The investigation into Mrs. Tefft's death is active and ongoing.
