Untimely Death Investigation in Somersworth

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert C. Quinn, and Somersworth Police Chief David Kretschmar announce that an investigation is ongoing into an untimely death in Somersworth, NH.

On August 15, 2016, at approximately 11:48 a.m., emergency medical personnel responded to a 911 call for a medical emergency at 9E Linden Street in Somersworth. There they discovered an unresponsive female child, age 2, who was later determined to be deceased.

On August 16, 2016, New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Andrew performed an autopsy on the child's body. At this time, the final autopsy results are not complete and are pending further studies.

The investigation is ongoing.
