Timothy Morrissey of Manchester Indicted on Simple Assault and Patient Abuse Charges

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that Timothy Morrissey of Manchester, New Hampshire has been indicted on alternative charges of simple assault and abuse of a facility patient by a Hillsborough County Grand Jury. The indictments allege that Mr. Morrissey, while working as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Bel-Air Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Goffstown, NH, knowingly caused unprivileged physical contact to a 79 year-old resident with dementia and willfully mistreated that resident on October 31, 2015. Both charges are misdemeanors that are subject to enhanced penalties under RSA 651:6, I(d), carrying a maximum sentence of 2-5 years in state prison. Mr. Morrissey will be arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court North on December 18, 2015.
