September 3, 2015 Officer Involved Shooting in Merrimack, NH

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Merrimack Police Chief Mark E. Doyle, announce additional information is available regarding the officer-involved shooting incident that occurred in Merrimack, New Hampshire on Thursday, September 3, 2015. During that incident, officers encountered Harrison Lambert, armed with a knife outside of 8 Joppa Road in Merrimack. Mr. Lambert was shot during that encounter and died this past evening as a result of his injuries.

The Massachusetts Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy of Mr. Lambert this afternoon and determined his cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Lambert suffered five gunshot wounds to various parts of his body. The manner of death was ruled a homicide. Homicide is medically defined as the killing of one person by another.

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing. Anyone who was travelling on Joppa Road at the time of the incident and any other individuals who have other relevant information are asked to contact Sergeant Justin Rowe at the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit at (603) 223-8849.

No further news releases are anticipated this weekend.
