Settlement Reached with Easter Seals New Hampshire

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) of the Department of Justice has reached a settlement with Easter Seals New Hampshire to resolve allegations that Easter Seals submitted claims to the Medicaid program for disability services between February 2013 and April 2013 without maintaining adequate records to support the claims. Under the terms of the agreement, Easter Seals agreed to pay a total sum of $30,216.38 in restitution and investigative costs. Easter Seals fully cooperated with the investigation.

The Medicaid program is a joint federal and state healthcare program which provides benefits to qualified individuals. The MFCU investigates and prosecutes both civil and criminal healthcare provider fraud, with the goal of protecting the integrity of the Medicaid program.
