New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Merrimack Police Chief Mark Doyle announce that a death investigation is ongoing in Merrimack today. Merrimack Police responded to a 911 call for service at 86 Back River Road at approximately 6:21 a.m. After they arrived, police discovered Darlene Lawrence (61) deceased at the residence.

The circumstances of the death remain under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Concord at the Medical Examiner's Office.

Based on the investigation so far, there is no information to indicate that the public is in any danger as a result of the death.
