Update Regarding Investigation into Deaths in Bedford, New Hampshire

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Bedford Police Chief John J. Bryfonski, announce additional information is available regarding the three individuals who were found dead in Bedford, New Hampshire. The three deceased individuals have been identified as:

Nina Obukhov (age 34);
Katherine Obukhov (age 8); and
Elizabeth Obukhov (age 6).

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas A. Andrew has determined the causes of death in each instance to be a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death of the children has been determined to be homicide. The manner of death of Nina Obukhov, as yet, is pending investigation. Based on the information to date however, the deaths appear to the result of a murder-suicide where the mother, Nina Obukhov, shot and killed her two daughters and then turned the gun on herself.

The investigation is still ongoing.
