Officer-Involved Shooting Incident in Derry, New Hampshire

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn announce that additional information is available in reference to the officer-involved shooting incident that occurred in Derry yesterday.

The deceased individual who used a shotgun to fire at a Derry police officer has been identified as Andrew J. Toto (age 54), of Derry, New Hampshire. Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas A. Andrew conducted an autopsy this morning and determined that Mr. Toto's cause of death was from a single gunshot wound to the chest and the manner of death was homicide.

The investigation remains ongoing. A report will be released at the conclusion of the investigation. At this time, anyone with information related to shooting incident is asked to contact Sergeant Brian Strong at the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit at (603) 223-4381.
