New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Nashua Police Chief John J. Seusing announce that additional information is available regarding a murder-suicide that occurred in Nashua over the past weekend.

The female victim in that incident has been identified as Meg Halley, age 55, of 1 Hutchinson Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. An autopsy conducted on Ms. Halley yesterday determined that her cause of death was multiple stab wounds and her manner of death was homicide.

The deceased male involved in the incident has been identified as Ms. Halley's long-time boyfriend, Allen Rediker, age 58, of 1 Hutchinson Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. An autopsy conducted yesterday on Mr. Rediker determined that his cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head and his manner of death was suicide.

Based on the investigation to date, it appears that Meg Halley and Allen Rediker were out with friends, socializing and drinking alcohol, in the downtown area of Nashua on the evening of November 29, 2014. Sometime after 10 p.m., Halley and Rediker left their friends behind and started walking home. An argument ensued during their walk home and Rediker pulled out a knife and stabbed Halley to death on the Baldwin Street Bridge. Afterward, Rediker walked to his home, armed himself with a handgun, and then engaged in a standoff with the police before eventually taking his own life.

No further details are expected to be released until the investigation is completed.
