Final Report into the March 22, 2014 Officer-Involved Shooting in Nashua, New Hampshire
New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Nashua Police Chief John Seusing announce that the Attorney General's Office has completed its final report into the officer-involved shooting in Nashua on March 22, 2014, of Craig Riley of Nashua, New Hampshire.
A redacted report was previously issued on May 16, 2014, concluding that the shooting of Craig Riley was a legally justified use of deadly force by Officer Stephen Morrill of the Nashua Police Department. That redacted report did not contain all of the details of the shooting incident since Riley had pending criminal charges and the issuance of a report with all the details of the incident could have prejudiced his pending case. Last week, Riley resolved his pending criminal charges by pleading guilty and agreeing to an extended prison term. In light of that development, the final report may now be issued and is attached.
