Autopsy Results in Murder-Suicide in Amherst, New Hampshire
New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Amherst Police Chief Mark Reams, announce that autopsies have been completed on the male and female discovered at 1 Meadow Lane in Amherst, New Hampshire yesterday.
The two individuals have been identified as John Trombly (35) and his mother, Elizabeth Trombly (69) of Amherst, New Hampshire. New Hampshire's Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Thomas A. Andrew, has determined the cause of John Trombly's death was a single gunshot wound, and his manner of death was suicide. Dr. Andrew also determined that the cause of Elizabeth Trombly's death was multiple gunshot wounds, and her manner of death was homicide.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths is continuing with the assistance of the agencies listed above.
