Denard Debruhl's Guilty Pleas to Drug Trafficking Offenses

Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Chief Mark E. Doyle of the Merrimack Police Department announce that on July 16, 2014, Denard Debruhl, age 34, of Merrimack, pled guilty to three counts of selling heroin, two counts of possessing heroin with intent to sell and one count of possessing cocaine. Pursuant to the terms of the negotiated disposition, Debruhl was sentenced to the New Hampshire State Prison for a total of 8-20 years, stand committed. In addition, Debruhl received suspended prison sentences that the State could seek to impose if Debruhl fails to remain of good behavior upon his release from State Prison.

The investigation, which began in January of 2014, was conducted by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Drug Task Force and the Merrimack Police Department. The investigation resulted in more than 150 grams of heroin being seized from Debruhl.

Attorney General Foster said: "The problem of heroin abuse has been growing steadily and is one of the greatest challenges facing law enforcement here in New Hampshire and nationwide. While a solution to this problem is multi-faceted and must involve education and treatment, an important part of the solution will continue to be identifying, arresting, prosecuting and incarcerating heroin dealers. Our Drug Task Force remains committed to this goal."
