Rumney Death Investigation

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Rumney Police Chief William Main announce that a suspicious death is currently being investigated in the Town of Rumney. The body of an adult male was discovered in the area of Stinson Lake at approximately 6:00 p.m. on June 29. The individuals involved in the incident that led to the male's death have been identified, and there is no danger to the public at large. No arrest has been made in connection with this death, and the circumstances surrounding it remain under active investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin. No further information is expected to be released until an autopsy of the body has been completed by the Office of the New Hampshire Medical Examiner.
