Officer-involved Shooting Incident in Rochester, New Hampshire
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office and the New Hampshire State Police report that they are investigating a shooting incident that occurred just after 3:00 p.m. today at 28 Periwinkle Drive in Rochester, New Hampshire.
The incident began when three Department of Corrections Probation/Parole Officers and a Strafford County Deputy Sheriff went to serve an arrest warrant on a male subject at the Periwinkle Drive address. A short time later, the Rochester Police Department received a call of shots fired inside the residence. The male who was the subject of the arrest warrant was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound, and then transported to a hospital where he currently remains.
None of the probation/parole officers or the sheriff's deputy were physically injured during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing. No further press releases are anticipated tonight.
