Legal notice regarding Currier Gallery of Art petition to terminate trust and distribute assets to not-for-profit corporation

On March 2, 2023, Judge Beth H. Kissinger issued a Structuring Conference Order Portable Document Format Symbol in Case No. 316-2023-EQ-00250 requiring that the following notice be published for two successive weeks on the website of the Charitable Trusts Unit.

The Currier Gallery of Art, d/b/a Currier Museum of Art has filed with the 9th Circuit–Probate Division–Nashua a "Verified and Assented to Petition to Terminate Trust and Distribute Assets to Not-For-Profit Corporation Under the Provisions of NHRSA 564-B:4-412(a) and (c)" (the "Petition to Terminate Trust") regarding a trust created by the Will of Hannah A. Currier dated April 13, 1903 establishing a trust for the purpose of holding certain works of art and creating/funding/administering the Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire. In its Petition to Terminate Trust, the Petitioner seeks to terminate the Trust of Hannah A. Currier, see generally, RSA 564-B:4-412(a) and (c), and transfer all assets to a newly formed New Hampshire voluntary corporation, the "Currier Museum of Art." The new corporation would continue to be subject to the oversight of the Charitable Trusts Unit of the New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General. Interested persons may review the Verified Petition at the 9th Circuit Court-Probate Division-Nashua, 30 Spring Street, Nashua, New Hampshire 03301 (case number 316-2023-EQ-00250) and/or may contact the Petitioner's attorney, Bradford E. The New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General – Charitable Trusts Unit represents the public interest in this matter. Any person with an objection to the Verified Petition shall direct any written comments or inquiries, within fourteen (14) days from the last date of the publication of this notice, to the 9th Circuit–Probate Division at the above address, or the Director of Charitable Trusts at the following address: Attorney Diane M. A Final Hearing on the Verified Petition is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on April 4, 2023 at the 9th Circuit-Probate Division-Nashua.
