The Currier Gallery of Art, d/b/a Currier Museum of Art has filed with the 9th Circuit–Probate Division–Nashua a "Verified and Assented to Petition to Terminate Trust and Distribute Assets to Not-For-Profit Corporation Under the Provisions of NHRSA 564-B:4-412(a) and (c)" (the "Petition to Terminate Trust") regarding a trust created by the Will of Hannah A. Currier dated April 13, 1903 establishing a trust for the purpose of holding certain works of art and creating/funding/administering the Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire. In its Petition to Terminate Trust, the Petitioner seeks to terminate the Trust of Hannah A. Currier, see generally, RSA 564-B:4-412(a) and (c), and transfer all assets to a newly formed New Hampshire voluntary corporation, the "Currier Museum of Art." The new corporation would continue to be subject to the oversight of the Charitable Trusts Unit of the New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General.
