Charitable Gift Annuity Certification adobe acrobat reader symbol
NH RSA 403-E requires organizations issuing charitable gift annuities to notify the Director of Charitable Trusts, Office of the Attorney General in writing within 90 days after the effective date of this law or the date on which it enters into the organization’s first qualified charitable gift annuity agreement. The charity must re-certify that information when filing its annual report with the Director of Charitable Trusts.

Guidebook for Directors of New Hampshire Charitable Trusts and Non-Profit Organizations
This guidebook has been prepared by the Charitable Trusts' Division as a quick reference tool for those individuals serving as directors, trustees, or officers of New Hampshire charitable trusts and charitable non-profit organizations. It describes in brief terms some of your rights and duties as a director, trustee or officer; the conflict of interest issues which you may encounter; tips for working with professional paid solicitors; and tips for making smart donations. Your service as a director, officer or trustee of a charitable organization should be among the most satisfying and rewarding activities you undertake. This guidebook is an attempt to help you understand your rights and responsibilities. This guidebook is not intended to be a summary of the laws governing charitable organizations in New Hampshire and is not intended to be a substitute for legal advice. However, RSA 7:19 through 7:32-b and RSA 292:1 through 292:31 are the focus of the guidebook. Recent changes in these laws are also included in this guidebook.
