Apparent Homicide in Keene, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, Keene Police Chief Kenneth Meola, and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn announce that an investigation is ongoing into an apparent homicide in Keene.

On Saturday, December 21, 2013, at approximately 9:28 PM, the Keene Police Department responded to 170 Pond Street for a report of medical assistance. Upon arrival they found one deceased adult male inside the home as an apparent victim of a homicide. The male was identified as Mr. David Wheelock, 48 years old, of Keene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has scheduled an autopsy for Monday, December 23, 2013, to determine the cause and manner of death.

The investigation is in its early stages, and the State is asking for the public's help. Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Keene Police Department at (603) 357-9820.

Most importantly, anyone travelling on Pearl Street between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM should contact the Keene Police Department with any observations they made while travelling in or around #170 Pearl Street (near the intersection of Pearl Street and Meadow Road).
