For Immediate Release
June 24, 2013
Matthew G. Mavrogeorge, Assistant Attorney General
Attorney General Joseph A. Foster announces that the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy ("Board") issued an Order of Emergency Suspension of the pharmacy technician privileges of Jessica Duda, age 34, of Hudson, New Hampshire, effective June 20, 2013. The Order means that Ms. Duda cannot work as a pharmacy technician in New Hampshire during the period her privileges are suspended.
The Board acted after receiving notification that Ms. Duda's employment had been terminated on June 12, 2013, because she acknowledged stealing tablets of a controlled substance from her pharmacy employer on multiple occasions. Ms. Duda was arrested by Londonderry Police on June 12, 2013, and charged with two felonies and two class-A misdemeanors for her alleged theft, possession of, and her intent to distribute the controlled substance tablets.
A public hearing before the Board is currently scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on July 3, 2013, for the purpose of determining whether Ms. Duda's privileges will remain suspended during the course of the on-going investigation.
