New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert C. Quinn, and Laconia Police Chief Chris Adams announce that an autopsy was completed Tuesday on the body of Zachary March (age 27) of Laconia, New Hampshire. Chief Medical Examiner, Thomas Andrew, determined that the cause of Mr. March's death was compression of the neck with fracture of the larynx. The manner of his death was homicide.
Mr. March was found unresponsive at 24 McGrath Street in Laconia, New Hampshire on Monday morning, June 10, 2013. Mr. March was pronounced dead at the scene. Kasey Riley (age 19) of Laconia, New Hampshire, was arraigned in the Laconia District Court on June 11, 2013, on Second Degree Murder charges for causing the death of Mr. March by strangling him. Mr. Riley is being held without bail at the Belknap County House of Corrections. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for June 18, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. at the Laconia District Court.
The circumstances surrounding this homicide remain under investigation.
