Death Investigation in Exeter, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Exeter Police Chief Richard Kane, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a suspicious death in Exeter.

Today, at approximately 7:00 am, police and fire personnel responded to a report of a fire at an abandoned business located at 2 Hampton Road in Exeter, New Hampshire. During that response, a deceased unidentified adult female was discovered in a building located on the property.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the female's death. As part of the investigation, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy tomorrow to try and determine the cause and manner of the female's death, and make a positive identification of her remains.
