Attorney General Michael A. Delaney today announced that his office continues its efforts to reach out to consumers facing financial difficulties with their home loans.
As part of that effort, the Attorney General's Office is encouraging banking institutions to hold consumer events for homeowners to meet with banking officials to discuss their mortgage loan and available loan assistance options that may help them avoid foreclosure.
Bank of America will be holding several events in New Hampshire during the month of December for their customers who want to discuss their mortgage loan. Bank of America home loan specialists will be available to review individual loan and financial documents, and to discuss options in person with their customers.

The Department of Justice has established a mortgage hotline to assist New Hampshire consumers with questions about their mortgage or the recent multistate settlement reached between 49 Attorneys General and the five largest national banks. The number for that mortgage hotline is 1-866-522-4450.
