For Immediate Release
September 10, 2012
Sarah T. Blodgett, Assistant Attorney General
Attorney General Michael A. Delaney announces that the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy ("Board") has suspended the pharmacy technician registration of Steven Detweiler effective September 5, 2012.
The Board's action is in response to Mr. Detweiler's August 23, 2012 arrest on three felony charges of possession of controlled drugs and a misdemeanor charge of theft. It is alleged that Mr. Detweiler stole in excess of 1,000 tablets of hydrocodone from his pharmacy employer.
On September 5, 2012, the Board issued an Order of Emergency Suspension and Notice of Hearing. The order suspended Mr. Detweiler's registration immediately. A Board hearing is currently scheduled for September 19, 2012, to determine whether Mr. Detweiler's registration will remain suspended during the course of the on-going investigation.
Copies of the Order of Emergency Suspension and Notice of Hearing are available upon request by contacting the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy, 57 Regional Drive, Concord, New Hampshire, (603) 271-2350.
