Attorney General Michael A. Delaney announces that the New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Practice ("Board") has suspended the psychology license of Alexander Marino, Ph.D., age 38, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, effective August 10, 2012. Dr. Marino practiced clinical psychology in Exeter and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The Board's action is in response to Dr. Marino's August 7, 2012 arrest on charges of prostitution and possession of controlled drugs.
On August 10, 2012, the Board issued an Order of Emergency Suspension and Notice of Hearing. The order suspended Dr. Marino's license immediately. A Board hearing is currently scheduled for August 27, 2012, for the purpose of determining whether Dr. Marino's license will remain suspended during the course of the on-going investigation.
Copies of the Order of Emergency Suspension and Notice of Hearing are available upon request by contacting the New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Practice, 117 Pleasant Street, Concord, New Hampshire; (603) 271-6762.
