Attorney General Michael A. Delaney announces that the New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Practice suspended the license of mental health counselor, Jeffrey Spiegler, of Keene, New Hampshire, effective June 8, 2012.
The Board's action is in response to Mr. Spiegler's arrest by the Keene Police Department on June 6, 2012. Mr. Spiegler has been charged with Attempted Sexual Assault, Violation of Privacy and Falsifying Physical Evidence.
Following an emergency meeting on June 8, 2012, the Board issued an Order of Emergency Suspension and Notice of Hearing. The order suspended Mr. Spiegler's license immediately. A Board hearing is currently scheduled for June 15, 2012, for the purpose of determining whether Mr. Spiegler's license will remain suspended during the course of the on-going investigation.
