New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Grantham Police Chief Walter A. Madore, Sr., announce that an arrest has been made in a murder, which occurred in Grantham, New Hampshire last night.
At approximately 9:50 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2012, officers responded to a 911 call from the Perriello residence located at 80 Doc's Drive in Grantham, New Hampshire. Once the officers arrived, they discovered a deceased adult female inside the home who had been shot multiple times. She was later identified as Natalie Perriello, age 42. Natalie's husband, James W. Perriello, age 41, was also found at the property. He was later arrested and charged with reckless and knowing Second-Degree Murder for causing the death of his wife, Natalie Perriello, by shooting her multiple times with a handgun. Also inside the home were the couple's four young children, who were physically unhurt.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be performing an autopsy later today on Mrs. Perriello to determine her cause and manner of death.
The defendant, James W. Perriello, will be arraigned on the murder charges at 1:00 pm today at the Newport District Court.
The investigation is ongoing.
