The State Police investigation into the homicide of Chief Michael Maloney has revealed that the Ruger .357 caliber revolver recovered from the 517 Post Road residence was purchased on January 16, 2012, by Brittany Tibbetts at a gun show in Manchester, New Hampshire. The police have not yet confirmed the origin of the 9 millimeter pistol but they have determined that it was not one of the weapons seized from Cullen Mutrie in July, 2010.

While the State Police continue to investigate this case, no further information is expected to be released this week.
