Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, and Sandown Police Chief Joseph Gordon announce that on Saturday, January 14, 2012, an officer of the Sandown Police Department responded to a Sandown residence and found inside a deceased male, subsequently identified as Richard Mannion, Jr. (age 43). An autopsy was conducted by the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on January 15. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound, and the manner of death was determined to be a homicide.

The investigation is still ongoing.
