New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney announces that additional information is available regarding the officer-involved shooting incident, which took place in Pelham, New Hampshire on Saturday, October 22, 2011.
On October 23, 2011, New Hampshire's Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Jennie V. Duval completed an autopsy on Alberto Pagan, age 21, of Dracut, Massachusetts. Dr. Duval determined that Mr. Pagan's cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and his manner of death is homicide.
Mr. Pagan was killed during an armed confrontation with police officers after he fled a domestic violence incident in Lowell, Massachusetts and drove to New Hampshire.
No further news releases are expected regarding this case until the preliminary report is completed. That report is expected to be completed within the next two to three weeks.
