Attorney General Michael A. Delaney announces that Senior Assistant Attorney General Anthony Blenkinsop has been appointed to serve as the Director of Charitable Trusts for the State of New Hampshire. As Director, Blenkinsop will oversee the protection of the public's interest in the property and assets committed to charitable purposes in the State through effective registration of all charities, education and enforcement of the State's charitable trust laws.
Blenkinsop joined the Civil Law Bureau in the Attorney General's Office in 2004. Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office, he worked for the law firm of Getman, Stacey, Schulthess & Steere in Bedford. He received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in May of 1998.
Attorney General Delaney stated, "I am pleased to appoint Anthony Blenkinsop as the new Director of Charitable Trusts. He is a talented attorney with a distinguished career at the Attorney General's Office. Anthony has a keen interest in the charitable sector. This is a challenging time for all charities in the State, and Anthony Blenkinsop has the skills, work ethic and dedication to lead the Charitable Trusts Unit effectively during this time."
Blenkinsop replaces Interim Director of Charitable Trusts, Anne Edwards. Edwards is an Associate Attorney General. She has been promoted to serve as the Chief of Staff at the Department of Justice.
