Senior Assistant Attorney General Connie Stratton
Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau
Attorney General Michael Delaney announced today that the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau of the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office charged Andrea Runkel d/b/a Luminescence Photography with three misdemeanor violations of the Consumer Protection Act.
Andrea Runkel, through her business, Luminescence Photography, contracted with consumers to provide wedding photography goods and services. The State's charges allege that Runkel took payments from consumers and failed to provided all of the agreed upon goods and services. Although she would photograph the weddings, she would subsequently fail to provide the rest of the goods, including wedding albums, and fail to refund payments to consumers.
Attorney General Delaney said, "I urge consumers to be cautious when dealing with businesses which require prepayments. Before entering into an agreement with a business, consumers should ask for references and check with both my office and the Better Business Record to verify the track record of a business they wish to engage."
Consumers who have complaints against this business or any business can file a complaint electronically by logging onto www.doj.nh.gov/consumer and clicking on "Filing a Consumer Complaint". Consumers can also call the Consumer Protection Hotline at 1-888-468-4454 and request that a complaint form be mailed to them.
