New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Robert Quinn and Charlestown Police Chief Edward C. Smith announce that autopsies have been completed in connection with a fatal incident that took place yesterday in Charlestown, New Hampshire.
The two individuals involved in the incident have been identified as Rodrick A. Lavoie (age 48) and his wife, Bettina Z. Lavoie (age 50), both of 431 Sam Putnam Road in Charlestown.
The State's Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Jennie V. Duval, has determined that Mrs. Lavoie's cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the abdomen and her manner of death is homicide. Mr. Lavoie's cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head and his manner of death is suicide.
The investigation is still ongoing.
