Indictment of Former Farmington Police Department Detective Brendan June

New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney announces the indictment of Brendan June, age 27, of the town of Middletown, for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, contrary to RSA 637:3, a Class A Felony. June formerly held the rank of detective at the Farmington Police Department.

June was indicted by the Strafford County Grand Jury on June 17, 2010. The indictment alleges that between November 1, 2009 and May 8, 2010, Brendan June, pursuant to one scheme or course of conduct, removed over $1,000 from the Farmington Police Department's evidence room, with the purpose to deprive the owner(s) of their money.

The Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer charge is a Class A Felony, which carries a maximum penalty of 7½-15 years at the New Hampshire State Prison; a fine of $4,000; or both.

The indictment is the result an investigation conducted by the Attorney General's Office.
