New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, State Police Colonel Robert Quinn and Meredith Police Chief Kevin Morrow announce that an investigation is ongoing into a homicide in Meredith, New Hampshire.
On Sunday, June 6, 2010, shortly after midnight, Meredith police officers responded to an incident at a residence at 16 Lake Street. After searching the home, the officers discovered a deceased adult male inside. That person's identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin. An autopsy on that person will be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Several other people are believed to have been involved in the incident. Two of those people have been identified as adult males who were also injured during the incident. One of them was treated and released at a local hospital while the other man is in serious condition and remains hospitalized.
The investigation is still in the early stages and is ongoing. However, based on the investigation to date, it does not appear that there is any specific threat to the public as a result of this incident.
