New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Frederick H. Booth, and Amherst Police Chief Peter Lyon announce that an investigation is ongoing into a homicide that occurred in Amherst, New Hampshire on Sunday, March 28, 2010.
On Sunday evening, March 28, 2010, the Bedford Police Department received information about a possible homicide in Amherst at a home on Pine Top Road. Amherst officers responded to a residence there and found the body of Trina Leonard, age 27.
An autopsy will be conducted on the victim today at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Concord. The brother of the victim, Robert Leonard, age 25, has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. He is expected to be arraigned in the Milford District Court sometime today.
