Attorney General Michael A. Delaney, Colonel Frederick Booth of the New Hampshire State Police, and Merrimack Police Chief Michael Milligan, announce that at approximately 1:52 a.m. on November 1, 2009, members of the Merrimack Police Department responded to a residence located at 157 Bedford Road in Merrimack in response to a complaint of a fight and possible stabbing. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Christopher Vydfol (20) suffering from an apparent stab wound to the chest. Mr. Vydfol was rushed to an area hospital, but subsequently died from his wounds. An autopsy is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009.
The New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Merrimack Police Department, is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
