Brian Longabardi (age 26), who at the time that the charged crimes occurred was a police officer with the Concord Police Department, was arrested today pursuant to a warrant issued out of the Concord District Court. Mr. Longabardi was charged with three counts of simple assault and one count of theft of services. Each of the charges is a misdemeanor.
Two of the simple assault charges stem from unlawful conduct on November 10, 2008, where he knowingly caused unprivileged physical contact by grabbing two female victims.
The third simple assault charge stems from unlawful conduct on January 12, 2009, where he knowingly caused unprivileged physical contact by grabbing a female victim. Mr. Longabardi was on duty as a Concord Police Officer at the time of this charged crime. This assault victim was also one of the victims of the November 10, 2008, assaults.
The theft of services charge stems from unlawful conduct on July 25, 2009, where Mr. Longabardi received beverages at The Draft, a restaurant in Concord, and refused to pay for the beverages when presented with the bill and being informed that payment was due.
An arraignment is scheduled for September 23, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. at the Concord District Court.
