New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Frederick H. Booth and Wolfeboro Police Chief Stewart Chase announce that the autopsy has been completed on the deceased woman discovered in a Wolfeboro residence on Sunday.
On Sunday, May 10, 2009, at approximately 10:54 a.m., Wolfeboro police responded to a 911 call from a person at 146 N. Main Street in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Once there, the officers learned that the adult female resident of the home, Stacey A. Burns (age 41) was inside the home. The responding officers made a cursory search of the home and found Ms. Burns deceased in the home.
Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas A. Andrew completed an autopsy on Ms. Burns today and determined the cause of death as stab wounds and the manner of death as homicide.
The incident is still under investigation.
