New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Frederick H. Booth and Wolfeboro Police Chief Stuart Chase announce that an investigation is ongoing into the apparent homicide of a woman in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
On Sunday, May 10, 2009, at approximately 10:54 a.m., Wolfeboro police responded to a 911 call from a person residing at 146 N. Main Street in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Once there, the officers learned that the adult female resident of the home, Stacey A. Burns (age 41) was inside the home. The responding officers made a cursory search of the home and found Ms. Burns deceased in the home.
An autopsy will be performed on Monday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine Ms. Burns' cause and manner of death.
The incident is still under investigation.
