Two Untimely Deaths In Hanover, New Hampshire

New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly A. Ayotte, Hanover Police Chief Nick Giaccone, Jr., and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Fredrick Booth, announce two untimely deaths in Hanover, New Hampshire. Elliott (age 84) and Barbara Lewis (age 82) were found deceased in their apartment at 85 South Main Street, at approximately 6 PM on Monday, March 16, 2009. The couple was discovered after their son arrived to check on them and called the police when he received no response from his parents. Initial law enforcement assessment at the scene is that the deaths are a murder/suicide. The investigation is ongoing, and autopsies are scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in Concord. No further press releases are expected until that time.
